Mayenne Nights
This festival of professional theatre, now in its thirtieth year, continues its successful combination of theatre and rural heritage in some fifteen venues throughout Mayenne, including, of course the Coëvron hills.
La Coëvronne
An exciting experience of arts on the move, the Coëvronne is held every year at a major site in the Coëvron hills. The festival is designed around a walking route. Along the way, dancers, musicians and actors charm young and old alike in short shows repeated all afternoon and evening.
Mediaeval pageant at La Ferté Clairbois
Plunge right back into the 13th century at the Domaine du Chevalier at La Ferté Clairbois. A troupe of committed performers draws you into an interactive show set in the heart of a fine fortified manor farm, with real knights in armed combat! An exceptional atmosphere, with real-life reconstructions offering fun for the whole family!
Meat Festival
Evron, Europe's capital of quality meat, celebrates its fine reputation every year. The meat festival held in September, an event on a European scale, is devoted to Maine Farmhouse Beef and other beef breeds. Come and enjoy the lively atmosphere of a real agricultural show with livestock judging, exhibitions of local farmhouse produce and traditional crafts, and its many evening events. Try a taste of delicious, spit-roasted local beef and you'll understand why the local farmers are so proud of their produce.
